Guests can explore nearby beaches, including Hana Bay, just a short walk from the resort, or venture to renowned attractions like Waiʻānapanapa State Park, Haleakalā National Park (Kīpahulu District), the Pipiwai Trail, ʻOheʻo Gulch (Seven Sacred Pools), and the Hana Lava Tube. Along the Road to Hana, you’ll also find waterfalls, scenic lookouts, and local food stands perfect for memorable stops along the journey.
In town, visitors can enjoy the Hana Farmers Market, browse local shops, and visit Hana Farms for fresh, locally sourced food and gifts. DO YOU HAVE TVS IN THE GUESTROOMS?
Most guestrooms at Hana Maui Resort do not include televisions, as we intentionally design the experience to encourage guests to unplug and reconnect with the natural beauty of Hana. Our villa accommodations do feature a TV in the living room for those who prefer it. Many guests embrace this opportunity for a digital detox—spending more time enjoying ocean views, outdoor experiences, and meaningful moments with one another.

What is the closest airport?
Hana Airport (HNM), 4 miles away. This is a commuter airport and provides connecting flights from other islands. Kahului Airport (OGG) is the closet major airport, 51 miles. Many guests choose to drive the famous Road to Hana from Kahului Airport (OGG) to reach the resort, or guests can connect from Kahului to Hana Airport on a smaller plane, and then take the Hana Maui Resort shuttle to the property.

Yes, we offer a resort shuttle to Hamoa Beach. The shuttle can also be scheduled for Hana Airport pick up or drop off.

How long does the Road to Hana take?
The drive from Kahului Airport (OGG) to Hana Maui Resort typically takes about 2.5–3 hours without stops, but most guests spend 6–10+ hours enjoying waterfalls, beaches, and scenic stops along the way. We recommend planning a full day for the journey to truly experience it.

What is the best time to start the Road to Hana drive?
We recommend starting early—around 6:00–7:00 AM—to avoid crowds, enjoy easier parking at popular stops, and make the most of your day exploring Hana and the surrounding area.

Is Hana Maui Resort located at the end of the Road to Hana?
The resort is located in Hana town, a common destination at the end of the Road to Hana drive. From here, you can choose to explore nearby attractions or continue farther toward areas like Kīpahulu and Haleakalā National Park.

Are there gas stations or services along the Road to Hana?
Services are limited along the Road to Hana. We recommend filling up your gas tank and bringing water, snacks, and essentials before starting your drive. Hana Maui Resort does have a gas station in Hana, where you would be able to refill.

Is there a spa onsite?
Yes, there is a spa on the resort grounds, The Spa. The Spa is open daily from 9:00am – 5pm. Appointments can be booked online here or by calling: 808-270-5290.

What restaurants are available?
Hana Maui Resort offers several dining options for guests, locals, and travelers exploring the Road to Hana.
The Restaurant, located in the main building, serves breakfast daily from 7:00am–10:00am and features a scenic setting to start your day. We also offer a Sunday Brunch, making it a great stop for those visiting Hana or enjoying a weekend drive along the Road to Hana.
Hāna Ranch Restaurant, located just across the street, is open daily for lunch and dinner from 11:00am–9:00pm and is a popular dining stop for both resort guests and Road to Hana travelers. Guests can also enjoy our To-Go window, ideal for a quick, convenient meal to enjoy on the go or during your scenic drive. The restaurant is a short walk or quick golf cart ride from the main property.
For a more relaxed setting, our Pool Bar serves the main pool area daily from 11:00am–5:00pm, offering light bites and refreshing drinks with ocean views (note: service is limited to the main pool area).

Are dogs welcomed at the resort?
Yes, we are a dog friendly resort. Dogs are welcome to all outdoor locations, as well as your guestroom. Dogs are not allowed in the pool.

Yes, there is a $100 pet fee for stays up to 6 nights. The pet fee does not apply to service animals.

There are ADA guestrooms onsite. ADA lifts are available at the pool. We offer a guest services golf cart for pick up or drop off to/from your guestroom. The resort grounds are spread out, but have paved paths to access.
